“LET MY BUILDING GO!”
The above statement relates to the Charlotte Chapel which was built in 1766 as a church for the then royal family. It became their place of worship due to its close proximity to Buckingham Palace.
We believe that the Charlotte Chapel should never have been destroyed and a church should once again be found in this location.
In more recent times it was purchased by a property developer who demolished the remaining foundations of the Charlotte Chapel, and is rebuilding an auditorium on the site. The intention now is of creating a theatre and providing ‘adult entertainment’.
The building is at this very moment about to be re-fitted and currently sits as an empty shell. Please stand with us as we feel enough is enough. God’s churches are continually being taken over or destroyed all over London and now we believe it is time to declare, ‘the Lord God wants His building back.’
.
The Lord wants His building as a sanctuary for worshipping Him As a House of Prayer for all nations
Where the Good News of the Gospel of the Kingdom of God is proclaimed Where this gospel is first published to all nations
As a place of refuge for counselling and ministry As a centre of praise, dance, joy and performing arts
Where the sick are healed Where the broken hearted are restored And where the captives are set free
With children’s clubs And youth activities With bible classes And as an outreach centre
Where God displays His power with signs and wonders and miracles With Jesus Christ at the centre of everything!
Where people from all over the world and all walks of life can come and find God’s love and peace, and from where those called shall go out into all the world in His Name!
This building is located right next to Buckingham Palace, and just a short walk from Parliament. Now the time has come to lift up the Name of Jesus right in the very heart and centre of London. Instead of just coming to London to see the Queen, rather come to meet the King of Kings!
